There is a lot of opportunity for you in the weeks and months ahead.   One of the biggest questions people often ask me is how they can start to make some money right away.

I usually tell them to start by creating content rich websites, drive traffic to those websites, and then monetize the traffic through advertising or product sales.

Then, once a track record has been established, they can sell the website for a profit.

Let’s face it, the Internet is a vast wasteland full of junk.

Excellent content is hard to come by.   So when you create a content rich website you are immediately setting yourself apart from the crowd.   You’re basically telling the world that you’re someone who is truly interested in making the Internet a better place.   As silly and corny as these sentiments may seem, I’ve discovered them to hold a lot of truth.

That’s how Google feels anyway.  Content is KING on the internet and the search engines reward you for it.

You can research a topic and then spend a single weekend creating a  website that provides
visitors with a wide range of information about the topic you’ve selected.

At this point people usually turn to me and tell me that they don’t know anything about programming websites, or words to that effect.

The secret is to realize that you don’t actually have to know how to do any of that stuff.   I usually
recommend that someone who is brand new to making money on the Internet use what’s called a “blog” to create website.

All the techie stuff is taken care of by the blog’s content management system.   All you have to do is input the data and build up the content of your website.  Which means doing a little research in your chosen niche and writing articles about what people want to know.

After you’ve created your site, the next step is to drive traffic to the site. It’s beyond the scope of
this article to get into the details and we will leave this for another day, but this is a VERY important step.

Finally, you can monetize the traffic you’re sending to the website with advertisements or product promotions and affiliate links.   If you want, you can even  sell the entire website once you’ve established a track record.

If you’re looking for a way to start making money online, creating content rich websites are a solid choice and will never go out of style, no matter how many times google  changes the algorithms.

I’ve been down the road you’re about to travel, and I have some very important tips that I’d like to share with you. We’re going to talk about how to build a successful online business. In particular, we’re going to talk about things you should know.

The most important thing you NEED to know is what you want to accomplish with your online business. This might strike you as simple and obvious — but it’s not.

There are so many people who wake up and decide they want to make a bunch of money online yet they don’t have the first clue about what they really want to accomplish.   Grab a piece of paper and a pencil.   Write down EXACTLY what you want to accomplish.

If  you want to make a bunch of money, that’s fine — but you need to come up with an exact amount.  You have to be specific, like “I want to make $100 a day in the next 90 days”.

Also, you have to have a plan.  You can’t wander around the internet aimlessly buying every “get rich quick” program that you come across.  Pick a business model and stick to it.

The second step is to develop a daily schedule that will help you accomplish your online business goals in the shortest amount of time possible.

I’ll be the first to admit that I hated the idea of setting a schedule for myself.   It reminded me too much of work.  I mean, I already have a day job.  This is supposed to be at my leisure, right?

Wrong!

If it’s one thing that you should know about running a successful online business is that if you treat it like a hobby than it will reward you like a hobby.  If  you treat it like a business than eventually your hard work will pay off and you’ll get rewarded and it will pay you  like a business.

Trust me I’ve been there.  But after a while of not really getting anything done, I buckled down and came up with a schedule. This is something you MUST do if you want to be successful.

You have to learn to manage your time.  I mean really manage it, create a daily to do list and get it done.

Finally, you need to realize that building a successful online business is going to require that you spend some money. It doesn’t have to be a lot of money, but you need to get it through your head that an investment is going to be required.

You can’t expect to be in business without budgeting some money for things, the very least would be hosting and a domain.  I know you can get a free hosted wordpress or blogger account, but in order to be taken seriously you need to host your sites yourself.

Those are the things you need to know if you want to build a successful online business.   Ignore them at your own risk.   I did, and saw that I wasn’t really getting the results I wanted.   Once I started doing what I just described above, everything changed for the better.

Go ahead,  follow my advice. You’ll be glad you did.

P.S. Put your goals and dreams on paper and go for it.  Dream it, believe it , and you can achieve it.

“Make $100,000 overnight with cpa marketing”

This can go on forever.  The fact is that there these business models all make people plenty of money.

I’m sure i’m missing some very lucrative business models there but the basic idea is that they all are money making business models.  Some take longer to develop than others but they are all proven ways to create a Internet business.

Pick a model and focus on it.  Don’t run from one to another.  Choose one that you thoroughly enjoy and  don’t start another until your profitting from it.

Just like everyone else, I’ve had my share of bouncing around, but right now I’m laser focused on my chosen business model.

So what business model do you choose?

Whether it be getting out to play a round of golf once a week or be able to coach there childrens little league team. There are many resolutions that get thrown around during the early part of the New Year.

One of the most common is to say, “this is the year that I’m going to change my future”.

“This is the year that I’m going to start creating wealth.”

“In 2010, I’m finally going to build my own homebased business, and break free from the shackles of a job.”

The fact of the matter is that no matter how much you love that job that you go to everyday, the chances are that it’s not going to be making you wealthy.  Now I’m not knocking a job, it pays the bills and this is all some of us want.
